About Park Hills, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Park Hills is a small, charming Midwestern town in Missouri. The town is very all-American. The community is a wonderful spot to raise a family, retire or just find a slow and steady pace of life. It has everything that you could want from a suburban town – pretty homes, parks, historic spots and even a couple of colleges. The seasonal weather means that, with each passing month, you can watch the landscapes change as the kids trade their swimsuits for ski jackets.
The town is home to two small colleges. The first is Mineral Area College and there they offer Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, as well as some Bachelor’s degrees from University of Missouri-St. Louis. That means that you can get a 4 year degree at a small 2 year college in town. That’s a pretty awesome amenity. The college also offers student housing, making it more like a larger school than your typical community college.
The historic mill structures, where St. Joe Minerals once processed the lead ore, still stand adjacent to town and are now the Missouri Mines State Historic Site, which is a museum dedicated to mining, geology and milling. Missouri Mines Historic Site sits beside the scenic St. Joe State Park, which is within the City of Park Hills. It is over 8,000 acres of beautiful, untouched land and the third largest state park in Missouri. The park offers motorcycle, bicycle and equestrian trails. In addition, there are opportunities for camping, swimming and hiking. When the weather is nice, there is always something to do or see at the park. The museum is a great way to spend a cold, wintery day, as well.
